17für Sokles und die Stadt von überall her erlaubt sei,
18von wo es Erträge gibt; es soll
19Sokles die Einbringung des Ertrages
20abschließen (bis zum Ende des Amtsjahrs) des jeweils amtierenden Archon.
21Dieselbe Art des Einbringung soll Sokles haben
22im Falle von Pacht, Wertabschätzungen (Pfandnahme) und
23Eintreibung von Vermögen, wie
24sie die Stadt hat; wenn aber Sokles die
25Arbeit aufgenommen hat, - - -
26soll es niemandem erlaubt sein, einen Antrag einzubringen oder
27darüber abstimmen zu lassen, dass Sokles die Arbeit abgeben
28oder er an der Arbeit gehindert werden soll, bis zum Ablauf
29der für die Ertragseinbringung vereinbarten Zeit.
30Wenn aber einer einen Antrag einbringt oder abstimmen läßt, dass er
31(die Arbeit) abgeben müsse, soll er tausend Drachmen schuldig sein,
32geweiht der Athena, und - - -
33- - - des Verlustes; der Prozess soll verhandelt werden
34in den den Handels(-Gerichtshöfen); wenn aber jemand
35selbst als Dieb ertappt wird oder beim Anstiften von Dieben oder
36bei übler Tat oder beim Behindern des Sokles an der

27that Sokles should leave off the working,

29the profit has been reaped [for the prescribed time];
30and if anyone proposes or puts to the vote that he must leave off,
31let him pay one thousand drachmas sacred
